FORMER Premier League outfit St George's SC edged defending champions Eagle Strikers, 3-2, in an epic encouner at Carder Park on Sunday to land the Western Union Major League title.  Goalkeeper Randal Huie (99th, 119th, penalties) and Kemar Miller (91st) scored for the victors, while Rennis Allen (93rd and 104th) hit a brace for Eagle Strikers.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (PRESS RELEASE)  for National 20/20 Community Cricket 2012

16 scholarships to attend GC Foster College of Physical Education and Sports in St. Catherine will be rewarded to two school boys from the eight cricket teams that will advance to the quarter finals of the 2012 Social Development Commission’s (SDC) National Twenty/20 Community Cricket Competition. Also One million dollars will be pocketed to the winning team of this prestigious contest.

Former youth footballer Ovan Samuda dies

Former Jamaica Under-17 footballer, Ovan Samuda, is dead. He was 23 years old.  Samuda died Saturday while undergoing treatment for brain cancer at the Princess Margaret Hospital in St Thomas.

Vaz Women's League Update

In yesterday's games (24th Jan) Port Antonio High lost to Titchfield High 4-0 at Carder Park. Konya Plummer scored two (2) goals for Titchfield High.

The results of yesterday's Daryl Vaz Women's League at Boundbrook Pavillion between Portland High and Fair Prospect High ended in favor of Fair Prospect High 5-0.
