BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Incumbent assists journeyman technicians engaged in the performance of skilled trades and crafts work, and provides escort functions in unclassified areas for outside contractors working on US Government facilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

1. Completion of Grade 9 level at a secondary school or skills training institution is required.
2. Six months familiarity with the various trades and workshops (carpentry, plumbing, masonry, etc.) is required.
- Level 2 (limited knowledge) of English in speaking and writing is required.
4. Must have a general knowledge of various tools and their uses in the repair and maintenance field
5. Must be able to operate hand tools to assist tradesmen.
6. Must be courteous and display good customer service skills.

The U.S. Embassy in Jamaica is seeking a Quality Control/Projects Coordinator to work on a full-time basis in the General Services Office of the United States Embassy.
*Position requires completion of mandatory post entry training. In order to develop the required level of knowledge and expertise, successful applicant will be hired one level below the full performance level.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
The incumbent serves as the Quality Control/Projects Coordinator identifying opportunities for improvements and helping guide the development and implementation of improvement plans for the sections that comprise the General Services Office (GSO). Incumbent acts as lead for all activities that the GSO provides services for at the Ambassador’s residence.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

1. A degree in business administration is required.
2. Three years of progressively responsible experience in administration and logistics with either a US Government Agency or a commercial company is required.
- Level IV English (Fluency) speaking, reading and writing is required.
4. Must have basic knowledge of subsections of a General Services Office, such as leasing/housing, travel, motor pool, supplies, procurement, and shipping/logistics.
5. Must be computer literate, with working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to communicate well, orally and in writing is required.
6. Outstanding customer service and teamwork skills required along with the ability to juggle multiple, time-sensitive tasks in order to meet deadlines.
