Toms Hope, Portland: Dozens of supporters of the opposing Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) on Sunday took to the streets at Toms Hope in Portland, demanding the removal of their councilor, Margaret Phillips as they claim she is a non-performer.  

SOME PORTLAND residents have described the construction of a tunnel at the Rio Grande Bridge to accommodate the return of the railway service as a waste of money.

Port Antonio: The Portland police are expected to lay charges against two men who are members of the infamous Klansman gang, who were captured early Tuesday morning in a raid at Shrewsberry, Portland.  

THE Portland Police this morning arrested two reputed members of the Spanish Town-based Klansman Gang in an operation in Shrewsbury District in the parish. Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations; however, it is reported that one of the men had previously absconded bail. A firearm was also seized during the operation. The two men are currently being questioned and charges are expected to be laid against them later.
