The Marcus Mosiah Garvey Multimedia Museum was officially opened in October 2006. As the World’s first museum on Marcus Garvey, it is a major attraction in Kingston. Through the technology of touch-screens, visitors of all ages are treated to Marcus Garvey: The Movement and the Philosophy, a three - part interactive experience of Garvey’s life and work. Soon we will add exhibitions on self-identity, Africa, music and poetry inspired by Marcus Garvey and Pan-Africanism. Films on these themes are currently shown in the museum. At our gift shop you can purchase a variety of items including books, T-shirts, paintings and Garvey/UNIA flags. |
